John J was born and raised in the cold, heartless and sometimes loving streets of Cleveland, Ohio during the 1980's. At an early age, John J's unbalanced and rough up bringing allowed him to gravitate to music, mainly hip-hop. The concision and hardcore music that was coming out of New York, Los Angeles, and Houston at the time was parallel to John J's upbringing. This ultimately made him want to rap and become the voice of his city, but more so, the voice of a culture.
