BASTET: LOST AND SOUND MIX

Dubstep / Crunk / Glitch / Future Bass

While not getting lost in dream worlds and creative meditations she can be found somewhere in the murky early hours pushing complex blends of monstrous low-end and intricate, genre defying sound with meticulous technique, laying down mind altering crunk adventures well into the morning after. A young gun in the west coast scene at just 19, this girl plays hard, packs heat, and is never more happy than when she's living her dharma: Culture, community, creativity, freedom- the healing vibrations of BASS.

IN THE FLESH: SQUAREPUSHER @ SHINJUKU LIQUID ROOM TOKYO, JAPAN 7/24/1997

Squarepusher is the performing pseudonym of Tom Jenkinson, an English electronic music artist signed to Warp Records. He specializes in the electronic music genres of drum and bass and acid, with a significant jazz and musique concrète influence. That may souind good to the average person, but his music is very experimental. Therefore I issue a warning to those who don't like to branch out too far musically. His live sets are just as chaotic as his albums, but I dig it, and am sharing this for the more adventurous music heads out there. This set was recorded in 1997, at Tokyo's Shinjuku Liquid Room. I hope you like it.
